I was introduced to one of these at my ankle rehab after I had an ankle surgery about 8 weeks ago. They used it to help break up the scar tissue that was in the joint that was making it stiff and it definitely made a difference in my recovery. The one at the rehab place was obviously different than this one but it's all the same action and function. The only attachment I use is that little ball. For my purposes it could be softer but it's not super hard either so it's okay. I'll just put a washcloth over my ankle before I use that and I don't push very hard because it has very good vibrations to help with pain and swelling. And it's also good for back of the neck and shoulders. I know there's a ton of different applications for it but, I got it primarily for my ankle recovery. It's got several levels of vibration but I never go past the first one. That's enough
